This night I'm going to write about one of the biggest decisions of my life (Yes, I'm being dramatic). At first, I think that you deserve to know that when I was a little kid (as all the kids), I wanted to be a vet, an actress, a teacher and astronomer and It was really hard to choose just one.
When I was on my last year of school and I couldn't take a decision about what I wanted to do.
I started going to a Preuniversitario because my grandmother told me to, so I took the chance and went to the Vocational counselor and He helped me to find some careers that fit me. I had heard about Public Administrations before, but I wasn't sure about what was it about, so I looked for information at the internet and asked to an older student of PA(Public Administration) to explain me a little bit more. With time, I started to convince myself that PA was the right choice, so when I had to make the applying, I wrote two options for Public Administration (Universidad de Chile and Universidad de Santiago) and just one option for Political science (Universidad Cat贸lica)
Besides everything I have already written I have always being the kind of girl that participate as President of the class, secretary, as a volunteer or that kind of stuffs so, I'm really into leadership (I love the word Leadership馃挊) and helping people to get a better life. These reasons are why I decided, at the end, study PA.
Since I got into the University I discovered my vocation for public service and I' m having a really good time, meeting people, making new friends and learning about things that call my attention, so this makes me feel confident about my decision.
I am not sure about what kind of job I would like to do in the future, but I hope to work with children or needed people, and especially be happy doing it.
Until now, I feel that theese are the real reasons of why did I chose this career for the rest of my life. Despites that If in a few years I change my mind and want to study something different, I'm sure that my family and friends will support me馃挄
PS: It is really weird for me to write this, because all my life I've wanted to be a teacher, in fact I still want to, so maybe, in a few years, you will see me as a teacher in a little school.
Lots of love,
Connie.
This is me on my first day.
